New Mexico DRE Program
Welcome to New Mexico's Drug-Impaired Driving Training Program
New Mexico Statewide DRE Call-Out Program Is Now Live!
The New Mexico Statewide Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Call-Out Program is officially active and available to assist law enforcement agencies across the state.
This system provides a streamlined way to request a certified DRE when investigating suspected drug-impaired driving cases.
When should you request a DRE?
• When a subject is lawfully arrested for DWI and provides a breath sample and
• When the breath alcohol content is below a .08 and does not match the impairment and
• When drugs are suspected (illegal, prescription, cannabis, or poly-substance)
How the System Works:
Once you have access to the call-out number, you simply text:
• Your agency name
• Location of the subject
• Contact officer name and phone number
• Subject’s BrAC
Our team will coordinate with available DREs in your county and facilitate the call-out.
To receive the call-out number:
Because this is a public page, the call-out number is not posted here.
Law enforcement or dispatch agencies interested in obtaining the DRE call-out number may email:
